Porsche 928 S4 with Sport Equipment
There are quite a few pics of Porsche 928 S4 SE / 928 S4 Sports dotted around the website. I've tried to collect them all here.
SE's were the UK only predecessor to the Club Sport. Available in Red, White, Black or Silver. There were 42. Several have been scrapped/written off.
- Club Sport" front springs
- Boge Sport Gas dampers (Bilsteins are a factory equivalent option)
- Different gear ratios (G 28/55 gearbox)
- 40% Limited-slip differential
- Shorter gear lever
- Wider "Club Sport" wheels - 8" front, 9" rear with different offsets
- Spacers to increase the rear track
- Different camshafts (same as used in the GT)
- No sunroof
- No external aerial
- Full leather interior (but note seats)
- Sports seats with electric squab height adjustment; part leather
- Different intermediate mufflers, and a final muffler with twin outlets
- Higher rev limit (6,775 RPM), higher idle speed (800 RPM) and different fuel map
1988 Porsche 928 S4 SE
There are several identifiers that help you to prove a car is an SE. The most well known being that the engine is stamped 'SP'. But as we discover more about these cars more emerges. Recently Paul Lacey on the list discovered writing on the diff cover. Here it is.
